Letter from Salloum to Alice Mokarzel Jaoudi

Title

Letter from Salloum to Alice Mokarzel Jaoudi

Description

A letter from Salloum to his daughter, Alice Mokarzel, written in New York City. In this letter, dated February 25, 1926, Salloum explains that his letters must have been lost because he is always writing her back. He wants her to know that he will never fail his duties as her father, no matter how busy he is with work. He is particularly pleased to hear that Alice is going to church. He notes that it is important to "adhere to your faith and not neglect it for any reason." He also mentions how proud he is of the girls for being good children and spending and enjoying their time with their mother. In the post script he notes that he sent Alice the play scripts she asked him for once before and he also sent a book for Yemna. He asks that she describes how her mother and sisters are doing in her next letter and that she sends them his love.
