Letter from Salloum to Alice Mokarzel Jaoudi

Title

Letter from Salloum to Alice Mokarzel Jaoudi

Description

A letter from Salloum to his daughter, Alice Mokarzel, written in New York City. In this letter, dated March 3, 1926, Salloum explains that he has been writing to Alice as often as he can and hopes that his letters aren't going astray. He responds to Alice's letter describing the school picnic and visit to Nahr el-Kalb. Salloum was happy to know that Alice had fun. However, he was expecting her to learn more about the historical significance of this particular location. The next time she visits, Salloum advises Alice to take a picture of the monument as "it would be a beautiful souvenir for [her] in the future."
