Description
A letter from Alice to her father Salloum Mokarzel, written in Beirut, Greater Syria (modern-day Lebanon). In this letter, dated November 22, 1925, Alice tells her father not to worry about her and the rest of the family because they are safe in Beirut. She believes that they are safe because the Americans and the French have sent warships and soldiers to protect them. She tells him "Nothing will ever happen here." Additionally, Alice describes a visit to Miss Kassab's beautiful home where she and a few other girls enjoyed their time. Alice sends Salloum Miss Kassab's thanks for sending her a subscription of his magazine.
