A letter from Alice to her father Salloum Mokarzel, written in Beirut, Greater Syria (modern-day Lebanon). In this letter, dated November 9, 1925, Alice explains that school is keeping her occupied but she is enjoying her time there. She continues to play basketball with Mary and Rose and mentions they won an exciting basketball tournament against the teachers. The girls are bonding and getting along very well according to Alice. Alice, Mary, and Yemna have begun piano lessons
Rose has begun violin lessons
Mary also began oil painting lessons and Alice intends to as well. Alice and the family spent a few days in Salloum's hometown of Freike, Lebanon, where they had an outstanding time with her father's relatives and some of his old friends.
