Materials in this series include over 2,800 letters, written primarily in English and Arabic, addressed to and from Ameen Rihani. The letters were written between 1893-1940.
Correspondents include Bertha Case, Charmion Von Wiegand, Marie Louise Fontaine, Bayard Dodge, Theron J. Damon, Michael Monahan, G.K. Nariman, George and Flora Seymour, and Ameen’s brother, Joseph Rihani. There is also correspondence between Ameen Rihani and organizations such as the Foreign Policy Association, Houghton Mifflin Company, the Institute of International Education, Constable and Company Limited, The New York Times, and American University of Beirut.
Other letters include correspondence between Ameen Rihani and H.G. Wells, Theodore Roosevelt, Eleanor Roosevelt, Mikhail Naimy, King Abdulaziz, S.J. Woolf, and William Jennings Bryan.
