Subject
Description
A letter from Alice to her father Salloum Mokarzel, written in Beirut, Greater Syria (modern-day Lebanon). In this letter, dated October 17, 1925, Alice and her sisters are happy now that they have started school. Alice, Rose, and Mary play basketball. Alice and the family enjoy their evenings spent together. After dinner, they gather on the balcony to sing and dance and afterwards they study. Alice mentions that some acquaintances from the S.S. Sinaia will be coming to visit them. Alice asks Salloum to write to her more often and to write to Lila in the letters, as she always expects one.
