Description

A handwritten letter from Clark Carter, Secretary of the Lawrence City Mission written on September 18, 1909, on a page with the mission's letterhead. It was written to help prove that Charles Own [Khalil Aoun] was 14 years of age. It explains that they had records of a May 1900 application from the family, when they were living at 75 Valley St., at which time their son "Charles (or Kalil) was called 4 1/2." It continues that Own informed them that he had been working for the Washington Mill since 1897.
