The hearing was titled “ESEA Reauthorization: Improving America's Secondary Schools,” taking place before Senator Kennedy on the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. Tony was president of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, North Carolina New Schools Project, and was appointed by Governor Mike Easley. Habit also served on The Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions of the United States Senate.
