Description
Vol. 2 No. 11 of الفنون, Al-Funun, was published in April 1917. This issue includes a short story by Kahlil Gibran and poetry by Mikhail Naimy and Ni`mah al-Hajj. This issue continues the serialization of Ameen Rihani’s novella Zanbaqat al-Ghawr [The Lily of the Valley] and features the last installment of Mikhail Naimy’s play al-Aba’ wa-al-Banun [Fathers and Sons]. Translated authors in this issue include Joey de Mubasan and Konstantin Balmont.
