Syrian-American Commercial Magazine Vol. 02 No. 03

Vol. 2 no. 3 of al-Majalla al-Tijarriya contains articles on the economic impact of and recovery from World War I, including a translation of a report on "The Solvency of the Allies" from the Guaranty Trust Company of New York; an article on the evolution of Syrian businesses in America; an article about Syrian merchants in Haiti which references the persecution they experienced there in the early twentieth century; and news from the Near East. A report by a Mr. Jenkins, American Consul in Funchal, Madeira, reviews the embroidery industry. Salloum Mokarzel's editorial concerns the actions that Syrians could take to benefit the "mother country."
