The Metrolina Phoenician Club was founded in 1986 by the North Carolina Lebanese Christian community. According to the draft of the common objectives, the Club was formed with multiple goals: to provide cultural outreach and community service in America, to raise awareness about the plight of the Lebanese, and to provide humanitarian relief for children affected by the Civil War in Lebanon.
