The King apologizes for delay in sending his notes on Rihani's book on Najid, and assures Rihani that he will have it soon. The King also tells Rihani that he wrote to the prince in the mountain to send Rihani the horses. The King rejects Rihani's request to mediate between the King and an American friend.
