It's a Safety Smell
Natural gas has no odor. We add a harmless
chemical to give that distinctive " gas " odor so you
can detect even the smallest amount that might
escape. Gas in distribution lines to serve homes or
businesses always has that built-in safety smell.

if you ever detect faint whiffs of the odor ...
. . . investigate. It might be only your pilot light out,
or a burner valve partially turned on ... these are
easily and safely corrected. If the source cannot be
located , and the odor persists, call your nearest

Unless you plan ahead,
your family may get a
lot less of your estate
than you think.
For example.
an
estate valued at $300,000
can be reduced by as
much as $84,000 in taxes
and expenses. And often,
valuable property has to
be sold to raise the cash
needed.
Will this happen to
your family? It won't if
you plan now - with
Living Insurance from
Equitable. That way,

Call someone

you can help make sure
your family will have the

they'll receive the full

Electric power is a valuable resource, and it makes
good sense to conserve it. Here are a few easy ways to
do that:
• Make sure your home is properly insulated.
• Keep your thermostat at 68° in winter and 78° in
summer.
• Use dishwashers and clothes dryers only when
you have a full load .
• Conserve hot water.
• Turn off TVs, radios, stereos, and lights when not
in use.
A few simple rules, but following them makes good
sense. Dollars and cents, too ... because th se rules
help you save money as well as electricity.
